In my opinion, Target should have stuck with the dog...

Read this first!

Alright, a target pointing at a woman's crotch, seriously? Is that something you really need to make a complaint about in the first place? There is a lot of talk about how sexual references appear everywhere, but really, its just that people just tend to think the wrong thing.
Although I find it strange that Target refused to respond to a blogger, I have sympathy for them. Imagine how many request, complaints, and inquiries they have to go through every day. It was certainly one thing when everything was done by mail, everything taking a couple of days to get to its destination. But now...we are talking of millions of people being able to register any little complaint they want to, 24/7. Given, Target is a large corporation, but I'm sure they have enough trouble as it is responding to comment made in the traditional way.

  1. I think you're right that in reality Target doesn't really have time to deal with all the indivisual bloggers of the world. And the complaint was kind of inane. I don't really care particularly what Target decides to do, because if complaints are continually ignored they're bound to lose business.

What I've started to wonder is whether the only real problem was the way that woman was rejected. If it were one of those irritating "thank you for voicing your concern. Target apreciates all feedback because we care about our cusomers" which really means that nothing's going to change instead of "sorry, we don't talk to bloggers" do you think there would have been all this fuss?

  2. I think you're absolutely right as far as method of rejection goes. They could have just spouted some obviously fake fluff about their "concern" for customers' opinions and this would have never happened, but they decided to be excessively aggressive and caused the problem theirselves.
